Introduction
An initiative born from a partnership with Mães da Sé, an organization that has worked for decades to reunite families affected by child disappearance in Brazil. The proposal uses coordinated social networks to amplify the visibility of cases.
The challenge
The circulation of alerts depended on traditional media and manual sharing — slow, limited and unequal. Cases lost relevance before reaching someone who could recognize them.
The MAIA solution
The platform connected 1,315 profiles of family members, NGOs and volunteers for automated and simultaneous publication of alerts across multiple personal profiles. Each new case enters the network in minutes, not days.
Results
- 40 million people reached in 4 months
- 28,000 interactions on individual posts
- 137 confirmed reunions
- 1 case resolved after more than 30 years of searching
Conclusion
When every profile becomes an alert point, the speed of social media works in favor of families. Technology that reconnects lives.
